One screen. One question: "What do I need to do?"

Payroll should make the next action obvious.

Four stat cards show what needs attention. A banner shows who is ready for per-pay-run super. A pre-flight list shows anything that would block today's pay. If everything is clear, you move on.

  • Compliance issues

How many employees have missing or invalid setup that would block their next pay run. TFN, super fund, bank account, tax declaration, named by the exact field that needs attention.

  • Super due

How much super is owed, and when the next deadline is. Red when overdue.

  • Payday Super readiness

How many employees are ready for per-pay-run super, and how many still need fund details captured. Amber until the full team is ready, then green and quiet.

  • Leave liability

The current dollar value of accrued annual leave across the team. The number that matters if anyone resigns this week.

Quiet when payroll is ready. Clear when something needs attention.

Run pay in three steps.

Every pay run follows the same shape: choose the people, review the numbers, then finalise.

  1. Choose the period and the employees.

Weekly, fortnightly, monthly. Everyone, or a subset. Timesheets from Deputy or Tanda bring in the hours worked.

  2. Review the numbers.

Gross pay, tax withheld, super, deductions and net pay are calculated for each employee. Overtime, allowances and salary sacrifice use your saved pay items.

  3. Finalise.

Payslips go to employees. STP goes to the ATO. The journal posts to the books. The matching super payment is prepared for the network.

The aim is simple: make the review clear before money moves.

Onboard a new hire without printing a single form.

Enter the new hire's name and email, then send the invite. They fill in personal, tax, super, bank, and emergency contact details across five short sections. TFN format, BSB, super fund details, and date of birth are checked before submission. When the new hire is done, you review once before their first pay run. Less paper, less re-keying, fewer missing details.

Payday Super, ready in the pay run.

From July 2026, Australian employers must pay super every pay run, not quarterly. This is the biggest shift in super obligations in decades.

myaccountant treats super as part of the pay run. Every finalised pay run prepares the matching super obligation for the national super network. The Payroll Overview shows per-employee readiness: who is set up, who is missing a fund, and who has an invalid identifier.

What happens quietly in the background.
