The three integrations the regulator expects.

myaccountant is an ATO-certified developer. It clears super through Beam. It reads bank feeds through Yodlee. These are the regulator-approved paths, used the regulator-approved way — and they are why your data travels where it is supposed to, and nowhere else.

What each one is, and why it matters.

The Australian Taxation Office

We lodge directly to the ATO via SBR.

myaccountant is an ATO-certified developer. That means we are registered with the ATO under their Digital Service Provider programme, and we lodge directly to the ATO through Standard Business Reporting — the authenticated, regulator-published protocol for submitting tax data.

No intermediary. No screen-scraping. No third-party lodgement software in the middle. BAS, IAS, income tax returns, and Single Touch Payroll events travel from myaccountant to the ATO through the pipe the ATO built for this purpose. When the ATO ever has a question about a lodgement, the answer sits in their own records — not in a reconstruction from ours.

Beam, for super

Super clearing runs through Beam.

When you pay super, myaccountant clears it through Beam — the SuperStream-compliant clearing house operated by the major super funds themselves. SuperStream is the ATO-mandated standard for how super contributions move between employers, clearing houses, and funds. Beam is the largest implementation of it.

Using Beam means your employees' contributions land in their super fund accounts through the regulator-approved path, with the audit trail the ATO expects. No bespoke integrations with individual funds. No manual transfers that can go missing. The same pipe every major Australian employer uses.

Yodlee, for bank feeds

Bank feeds come through Yodlee.

Your bank accounts connect to myaccountant through Yodlee — a financial-data aggregator recognised under Australia's Consumer Data Right framework. Yodlee reads your transactions, with your explicit consent, and makes them available to myaccountant.

The connection is authenticated; the data flow is one-way (from your bank to the platform, never back); your bank credentials are held by Yodlee, not by us. If you disconnect a bank account, the feed stops and the historical data stays yours. Most Australian banks are supported. If yours is not, tell us and we will prioritise it.

Together, this is why the records trace cleanly.

The ATO integration means every lodgement you make leaves our system through the authenticated, auditable, regulator-approved path. The Beam integration means every super contribution you pay reaches the right fund through the same discipline. The Yodlee integration means every transaction we categorise, reconcile, or use to prepare your return came from your bank with your consent, unmodified, and on the record.

Three pipes. Three regulators satisfied. Three reasons your records trace cleanly from the source to the submission — which is the whole promise of the platform, made concrete in infrastructure rather than claimed in marketing.

What else is in the stack.

myaccountant also uses Stripe to process subscriptions and AWS for cloud infrastructure. These are industry-standard providers used by most modern software platforms — we name them here for transparency rather than as endorsements. Full detail on data hosting, processors, and sub-processors lives in the Privacy Policy.
